He got the job!

By far, the best phone call I have ever gotten... "Babe!? I got the job!!"

After about 3 (long and stressful) months of searching and searching and searching, Will finally accepted an offer with his dream company: Jackson Healthcare/ LocumTenens.com!  Will had interviewed with Jackson Healthcare back in April, and after months of waiting and empty offers with other companies, the job with Jackson finally came through.  Will has kept such a great attitude throughout everything.  It is no secret that he faced a terrible economy, and I could not be more proud of how he handled everything.  He was dedicated, patient, and knew that in God's time, the right job would come along for him.  It has definitely been one of the most challenging things we have been through as a couple, but it has made us stronger than ever.  We are so excited about the opportunity with such a wonderful company:

Tomorrow, Will flies to Houston for a week to see his family before starting his new job on July 6th.  He is excited to go back home and see his family, our friends, and TO FISH!  I, on the other hand, am going to miss him dearly and can't wait for him to come home.  What am I going to do for a whole week!?

As always, out of order, but you get the idea...

With some of the girls back at the cabin after a fun day on the lake!
Celebrating Will's new job and Collin's birthday on the lake!
Life doesn't get much better.

Congrats Will! Proud of you :)

30 Years and Still Madly in Love

This past weekend, my parents celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary.  After being married for only a year and a half, I can more than appreciate the love, dedication, and work it takes to be married for 30 years and to still be as in love as my parents are.  I cannot even being to describe how much I look up to them and their marriage.  They are role models to Will and I!!!

We decided to celebrate by surprising my parents with a weekend in Blue Ridge.  Blue Ridge is about an hour north of our house in the gorgeous Georgia mountains, and it was where Will and I spent our first wedding anniversary, so it definitely holds a special place in our hearts.  My family always has a blast when we are all together, to say the least.  So the weekend away could not have been more fun or more memorable.  Here are some pictures...

of course, munchkin was there!  she loves Blue Ridge!
a candid... we caught them! i love that they are so in love!
Daddy with his girls.
my mom, my best friend, ugh i just love her more than words.
enjoying the stream below our cabin.
I love campfires.  They remind me of our camping trips when I was little.

behind again... shocker!

Well, if my lonely little night produced nothing else, it did force me into enough boredom to update this blog finally!!  I don't know how the weekends slip by and before I know it, it has been a month before I have even thought of this thing!  So while Will plays at his weekly basketball game... I will update you all on our lives :)

First and most fun!... Our cruise was amazing.  It was so nice to spend such quality time with Will.  During the rush rush of everyday life, it seems so hard to relax and really appreciate each other.  Life has proven to be stressful and anything but relaxing lately (for those of you that don't know, yes, Will is looking for another job), so a vacation was JUST what we needed.  Will and I were able to spend 3 days in Tampa before our cruise ship left the port, so we felt like we had a little vacation before our vacation!  Clearwater beach was wonderful, gorgeous, basically I didn't want to leave and it wouldn't take much convincing to make me go back! :) Because of the awful timing of the swine flu, we gladly skipped our stop in Cozumel and instead spent the entire cruise in Grand Cayman, which was fine with me!!!!  If you have never been there, Cayman is gorgeous and I would highly recommend a trip there!  The water is as clear as it gets and the beaches as beautiful as they come.  Overall- Caymen- amazing, Food- edible, Pinas- delish!, and my company (Will)- studly and amazing :)

The weekend after we got home from vacation was Brittany and Slate's wedding. Slate was the very first friend that Will made when he moved to Georgia (while I finished up school in Texas), so needless to say, both Brittany and Slate hold a very special place in our hearts.  They have introduced us to so many wonderful people and are truly one of the biggest blessings in our life.  Will and I have had so much fun celebrating their engagement the past couple of months, and the wedding was so great to witness.  Brittany was stunning (no surprise!) and we had an absolute blast with all of our Georgia friends!  We are excited to spend many many many more years making memories with Brittany and Slate.  Congratulations!  We love yall.

The remainder of the weekends have been spent... guess... with friends and family.  Fun get-togethers, Cinco's rooftop bar, Brave's games, and extra special date nights with my husband.  I love summer and everything about it.  There is nothing better than having a sunburn that hurts so good and drinking a margarita with my favorite people on a Friday night. I love it!

Because it has been so long and so much has been going on, here are only a couple of pictures from the past month.  Again and as always, they are not in order because I still haven't figured out how to do that!  Maybe because I neglect my blog for months on end :)

At one of the many Braves games thus far.  Will got chosen to play an in-between-inning game. He lost. And for a GREAT laugh, the vidoe is on my facebook page.

On our cruise. My handsome husband at dinner.
In Cayman... my new little piece of Heaven that I didn't want to leave.  Look at that water!
Still on the cruise.  This was before dinner.

Phew... updated!!!
